Positions
Teachers
All volunteers start as Helper teachers when they start with us (unless they have previous experience teaching a class and have demonstrated excellent leadership and communication skills). Helper teachers are responsible for going around the class and helping students debug and fix their programs. They also get a chance to teach some part of the curriculum as decided by the program leader. After teaching a few workshops as a helper, you are eligible to move up to program leader if you show passion and are committed to teaching more sessions.
Program Leaders
Program leaders lead our workshops. Depending on the size of the class, we can have up to two leaders. They do most of the teaching as they have gained experience teaching the curriculum. They are also responsible for all the logistics (visiting the library, setting up the projection system, planning teaching activities with the helper teachers, mentoring the helpers and more). Volunteers must demonstrate a commitment to M&C, excellent leadership and programming skills before they move up to become a program leader.

Directors
We usually don't hire directors directly. Program leaders who show tons of passion and commitment and who have successfully led a few workshops are promoted as directors. Directors also help us create new classes and curriculum for those classes. Contact us directly if you think you have what it takes to be a director.

Profile Submission Form
If you are already part of the team, please submit your 'bio' (or a brief profile) along with a headshot photo. We will add you to 'The Team' profile. Having your profile on the web site lets parents and students know a bit more about the teachers who will be teaching their kids!
